Getting to Socotra in 2024-2025

Currently of the commercial air resume the schedule again to Socotra from the beginning of October 2024 – April 2025, the ABU DHABI – SOCOTRA connection has become 100% reliable which help the reopening for tourism on the island once again. Now you can reach Socotra with a weekly NON-STOP DIRECT FLIGHT from Abu Dhabi that is scheduled for every Tuesday and Friday . All flights take off from Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) with an approximate duration of 1h 45min.

It’s a governmental charter flight and they do not offer online booking yet.  This unfortunately means that in order to get a seat on this in demand flight you need to be assisted by a local agency which we can help you in that as a local agency. To ease this process, the  local contacts to help make your flight reservations, as they have an account with the airline and are responsible for sponsoring tourists and their entry visas. Flights usually operate Due to limited seating capacity in the plane (approximately 89 passengers), it is recommended to make reservations as soon as possible once you decide to visit Socotra 2-3 months in advance. The round-trip ticket price for the 2024 season is $930.

 

TRAVELLING FROM U.A.E. TO SOCOTRA
– DUBAI In order to board your flight to Socotra you must present a negative PCR test result (maximum validity 72 hours).-  ABU DHABI : No more quarantine on arrival in Abu Dhabi. From September 5th, you can travel quarantine-free to Abu Dhabi if you’ve been fully vaccinated. This was required during Corona period IT IS NOT  required any more now .

.TRANSIT IN ABU DHABI : Alternatively, if you don’t want to actually enter the emirate of Abu Dhabi, you can simply fly to Abu Dhabi airport and be on the way to your final destination Socotra. Please note: transit time must not exceed 24 hours..

VISA

All tourists need a Yemeni visa to visit Socotra Island. WE TAKE CARE OF THE WHOLE PROCEDURE FOR YOU.
The process usually takes few days and the visa will be issued here by the island authorities. The only thing we need from you is a photo of the main page of your passport. Once we obtained your visa we will send you a copy by email, you just need to print it and show it at Dubai check-in counter in order to board the flight. We will be waiting for you with the original copy of your visa at the arrival hall at the Socotri airport.
